Seizure #4...

Last night, Brianna had seizure #4. This one was just like all the others... happened just after she fell asleep and lasted about a minute or less. We have a call in to the doctor, but not sure what he is going to do about it other than note it in her chart. While I have been home today, I was doing some research on the internet about the BRE (Benign Rolandic Epilepsy) and I did see that the most common cause of a seizure is not taking the meds as prescribed. Brianna has been taking her medicine for the most part, but we have missed a dose here and there, especially lately. It is really easy to forget with our hectic schedules... we are going to have to be more vigilant about making sure she takes her doses every day. One of the other factors that was listed was hormone fluctuations... makes me wonder if Brianna might be reaching puberty and this is causing it?? More questions to ask the doctor... stay tuned.
